DESCRIPTION:An evening of joy\, story\, and song as The Horse Guitar Club brings their revelrous show of folk rock and americana to Cork City Hall\n\n\nALL SEATED SHOW\, FULL BAR & CLOAK ROOM \nWhite Horse Guitar Club will be playing a very special concert at Cork City Hall on November 30th. \n“Growing up in Cork\, the City Hall always ignited something in our hearts. It’s a place of celebration\, known for hosting iconic gigs from legendary artists like U2\, Simple Minds\, Depeche Mode\, Eric Clapton\, and Thin Lizzy. For us\, Cork City Hall is synonymous with the legend that is Rory Gallagher. The grainy footage of his 1974 tour\, playing to a packed home crowd\, is etched in our minds. \nJust like other iconic venues such as the Opera House and the Everyman\, where the White Horse Guitar Club has had some great shows\, Cork City Hall is a bucket-list venue for us. We are honored to be playing here. This venue\, a place of celebration\, was destroyed during the burning of Cork by the Black and Tans\, then rebuilt and restored\, and brought back to our city in 1932\, all paid for by the British government as a gesture of reconciliation. This hall has seen not only music legends but also sporting legends being celebrated and has been the stage for Freedom of the City ceremonies for notable figures like JFK\, Roy Keane\, and Sonia O’Sullivan. \nOn Saturday November 30th\, we’ll be keeping these memories in mind as we plan an evening of joy\, story\, song\, and celebration.
