SUMMARY:Cooks But We're Chefs & Rachael Mae Hannon @ Guinness Cork Jazz Festival
DESCRIPTION:Cooks But We’re Chefs & Rachael Mae Hannon\n\n\nCooks But We’re Chefs are a 7 piece band from Dublin. Their sound encapsulates elements of house\, funk\, jazz\, soul and hip-hop. Their highly energetic show has been well received \nacross Ireland and the UK festival circuits with slots Electric Picnic\, Body & Soul\, \nBray Jazz Festival\, Latitude\, Stendhal and main stage slots at Forbidden Fruit and Life Festival. Further sold out headline shows in \nDublin’s Grand Social and Lost Lane and also Limerick’s Prima Volta have cemented Cooks as a fundamental live act to the Irish music scene. \n \n\n\n\n\nRachael Mae Hannon \nRachel Mae Hannon is a soulful vocalist\, a multi-instrumentalist\, a songwriter and producer from Monaghan but living in Dublin. Her sound has been described as where pop meets neo-soul. The low range of her vocals and her eloquent use of harmonies gives her a distinctive soul pop sound. \nThe last year has been an exciting one for Rachel as she has not only supported HAIM at the Trinity Summer Series\, Tom Odell in The 3Olympia\, and Eloise in The Sugar Club\, she has also played the main stages of festivals such as Sea Sessions\, Kaleidoscope\, Indiependence and We’ve Only Just Begun\, Electric Picnic and New Year’s Festival Dublin. \nRachel dueted with Danny O’Reilly from The Coronas as part of RTÉ’s The Main Stage\, ‘Unseen Songs’ and performed on RTÉ One’s New Year’s Eve Show hosted by Jenifer Zamperelli who suggested Rachel as being ‘tipped for international stardom’ in 2023.’ \nMCD promoted Rachel Mae Hannon’s sold out headline gig on the 1st October in Workman’s. Her latest video ‘Work It Out’ was released last May\, and her latest single ‘Breathe’ is available on all streaming platforms now. With her first gig of 2023 completed at Workman’s for the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre’s celebration of Nollaig na mBan\, Rachel also has many future gigs and music releases set in motion for 2023. No doubt\, this year is set to be an exciting one for Rachel.
